Developing confidence in yourself is really just a matter of learning a skill, of practicing keeping promises to yourself until its second nature to you. You can get a taste of how deliciously empowering it is in five short days. Here’s how:

First, rate your existing level of self-confidence on a scale of 1-10 so you have a benchmark for judging your results. Then, pick a simple and slightly challenging task or activity and commit to do it every day, without fail, for five days. Ideally, pick some action that will move you closer to one of your goals. Do ten sit-ups; help with the dishes; give up desserts; read for 15 minutes. Give some thought to your choice and select something that would be just a bit of a stretch for you and that you will feel great about having done for five days straight.

However, there are men who never really grow out of it and it becomes a huge problem, for they are not able to date. Dating for shy men can really suck the joy out of their lives because they are never able to communicate the way they would like. If you are a shy guy reading this today, know that it is all in the mind. You somehow feel like you are not good enough or that when you talk, the girls might not like you and may even laugh at you.

This is the lie that you have believed for a long time and it is time you grew from it. Fix your attitude and mind; and seek to love yourself first. Know what your strengths are and capitalize on that. Let your values like kindness and gentleness work for you instead of against you. You are the only one who can motivate yourself that you can do it. Say to yourself constantly that you matter and that you can really do whatever you set your mind to doing. Over time, you will start to believe it and soon, confidence will be built. Confidence is the key word when it comes to dating for shy men. When you have confidence in yourself, you have crossed over to the other side.

Your demeanor is a reflection of your confidence and self esteem, and one thing you can do that mimics confident people, is to walk more slowly. Confident people move slowly and with ease when they walk, and they have a pride in their step.

You should follow their example. And if you also hold your head up high, you'll soon start to notice a difference in yourself. In a short time you'll walk this way without thinking about it, and you'll automatically become more outgoing.
